The 2025 MNRF Hockey Tournament Organizing Committee are busy preparing for the 48th MNR Provincial Hockey Tournament scheduled for March 27-29th in the heart of Peterborough, Ontario. Peterborough will welcome 28 teams for the 2025 Tournament.
We’re looking forward to hosting and bringing together current and past MNR employees from across the province for some friendly and fair hockey, and socialization.
To Register:
- Send a $600 deposit by January 10, 2025, reserving your teams’ spot. Deposits can be sent to peterboroughmnrtournament@gmail.com. Please include your Team Name in the message section of the e-transfer. Auto deposit is on, so no need for a password.
- Roster forms were sent to Team Captains. If there are roster changes the form must be resent by the time registration balance is due. Roster forms can also be found below.
- Remaining registration balance due February 7, 2025.
- Send your teams logo to donna.chamberlain@ontario.ca and we’ll get it uploaded to the website
2025 Registration Form
Criteria for Teams:
- At least 50% of each team must be comprised of retired, regular, probationary, Group 3, or unclassified staff who have been employed for at least 66 days in the last 12-month period, or spouses of regular or probationary staff.
- To be eligible to play under the two tournament rule, an individual who is not currently a Ministry employee must have played in two previous MNR tournaments as an employee.
- Exceptions must be approved by the MNR Hockey Tournament Committee and will only be considered where a team does not have a minimum of 13 players, excluding the goalie.
Please note that participants are responsible for all costs incurred such as accommodations, food, etc. And as the tournament begins on a weekday, current MNR staff will need to request the corresponding time off.
